LDSU (Long Document Scanning Utility)

SOME APPLICATIONS REQUIRE EXTRA-LONG DOCUMENT SCANS. Dunord's LDSU (Long Document Scan Utility) can convert long documents into continuous images.

Dunord specializes in high speed scanner input. This very thight focus allows us to develop unique software products that take full advantage of the fast throughput of modern scanners. Our LDSU is a Windows tool which can save continuous documents up to 350 feet (100 meters) in length to a PC's hard disk in standard TIFF (Black & White) or JPEG (Grayscale or Color) compressed formats.

PERFORMANCE

Dunord's innovative soution captures the image directly from a Kodak i1440 or i280 or Fujitsu 3096 or 3097 scanner.
The result is available at the end of the scan on the PC's hard disk in one of several standard TIFF (Black & White) or JPEG (Grayscale or Color) formats.
The whole process is done at an extremely fast rate - at the streaming speed of the scanner.

IMAGE QUALITY

A preview feature allows the user to find the optimal intensity and threshold settings for each long document.

EASE OF OPERATION

The Windows graphical interface makes every phase of the operation clear and simple.
Settings can be changed through an on-screen simulated panel. They can also be read from a file previously saved to disk.
The user can directly browse any part of the document using the standard window scrollbars.

COST EFFECTIVENESS

Dunord's LDSU brings the same power to Windows PCs previously available only on high-end, expensive UNIX systems. Besides being less expensive than UNIX, the Windows platform supports a much broader range of choices for imaging hardware and software.
